Crypto exchange Deribit has been hacked with an estimated $28 million stolen from a hot wallet.
The exchange maintains that client funds are safe, however, any losses are covered by the company’s reserves.
The company posted on Twitter: “We are conducting an ongoing security investigation and will withhold withdrawals from third party patrons including Copper Clearloop and Kobo until we are confident that all are safe to reopen.”
