Meta Still Struggling for Its Metaverse to Find Its Legs – Metaverse Bitcoin News

Meta, formerly known as Facebook, is battling to find an audience for its metaverse software Horizon Worlds. This week, the corporation, which presented a video of full new avatars, including feet, was chastised for its lack of preparation. Similarly, the company reduced its aim of 500K monthly active users by the end of this year to 280K.

No Real Feet Show, Meta States

Regarding their metaverse software Horizon Worlds, Meta, the social networking powerhouse, is having issues left and right. As part of its Connect speech last week, the corporation allegedly gave an early peek at the new graphical avatar presentation that the platform will include next year. The existence of legs connecting these to the floor was one of the major enhancements in this regard, making the metaverse more immersive..

Following the presentation, which confused some, the business emphasized that this animation part was made with auxiliary technology, including motion capture, to highlight what is coming to the app in the future. This comment infuriated some supporters, who blamed the firm for spending so much money on this without fixing the leg problem.

User Enticement and Retention

Legs are not the biggest problem that Meta is facing with Horizon worlds. According to a recent article from The Verge, the platform is struggling to acquire new users and has lowered its goal of reaching several 500K monthly active users to 280K. While the company stated in February that the app had more than 10,000 worlds as part of its structure, more than 50 users visit only 9% of these worlds.

In the same way, most users don’t return after one month of visiting the platform, a metric that shows users are growing bored with what Horizon Worlds has to offer. Not only are regular users leaving the media, but Meta’s employees are also on this boat.

Two memos issued by Meta’s VP of metaverse Visual Shah in September enticing employees to be active and to “fall in love” with the platform, and hinting at the establishment of time quotas that employees should spend on Horizon Worlds for employees, show Meta’s issues.

Spokespersons from the company stated Meta’s metaverse plans are a “multiyear effort,” and it continually improves the platform.
